SAVE THE PLANET - Add/Update your E-mail Address to receive Library Notices

To register/update your email address with the Library, simply logon to your "My Library Record", click Add/Update your E-mail Address and enter or update your email address.

By registering an updated email address with the Library, you will receive all important notifications from the Library, including Coming Due Alert, Hold Pickup, Recall or Overdue notices in a timely manner. In addition, an updated email address is required for eligible users to apply for online Library services such as Inter-Branch Book Delivery Online Requests and the JULAC Library Card Online Application.

With the launch of the online email registration/update service, in-person registration/update of email address at the University Library System circulation counters and via emails will be terminated after December 31st, 2009.

Launching of New MyLibrary 2.0

MyLibrary 2.0 will be launched on January 11, 2010. It aims to provide a platform for CUHK staff and students to personalize their library services accordingly to their own preferences with many new features.

 

MyLibrary 2.0 offers the following features:

• E-journal titles via RSS : Customize your favorite RSS feeds for E-Journal titles
• My Library Record : Show your loan records, coming due and overdue alerts
• 360 Search (E-Resources) : Search all e-resources, save your subjects and search fields
• New Additions List: Customize new additions list with your own keywords
• Bookmarks : Build your favorite URL links
• Reply Board : Submit questions to Librarians
• Library Catalogues & Web Search : Provide a search interface for library catalogues and internet  search engines
• Widget: Embed your external web applications

 

MyLibrary 2.0 is available at the Library homepage by clicking “My Library” link. It is restricted to CUHK students and staff only. Other library users can still access old MyLibrary.
